In 1955, a construction company called Gonte Construction Limited founded by David Salomon focused on developing high-rise rental apartment buildings across the Greater Toronto Area. He was a holocaust survivor that immagrated to Toronto after the war looking to build a life for his family. As the years went on, the GTA started to grow and the company grew with it, Gonte evolved into a fully integrated business of property management and real-estate construction.
Eventually, the company rebranded themselves as Preston Group, which became extremely successful and managed over 2,000 rental units across the GTA. Additionally, they became a well-known home-builder and developed high and low-rise condominiums in communities such as King City, Alliston and Newmarket. In 2012, the company’s success led to the evolution of two independently owned and operated companies, the first was Preston Homes and the second was Redwood Properties which still carries the same work ethic that Salomon had when he first started the company.
Redwood Properties was responsible for managing rental buildings that were operated under the Preston Group and all of the new residential developments that were run by Preston Homes. Redwood Properties has decades of experience in property management and have gained a reputation as one of the premier boutique property managers in the Greater Toronto Area.
Preston Homes has recently undergone another rebranding strategy but this time rebranding themselves Redwood Living. Today, they have a vast rental portfolio of 400 residences living in established buildings across the Greater Toronto Area and throughout most of Southern Ontario. They take pride in providing their clients with rental accommodations and new developments in prime locations that suit every lifestyle.
