In the Canadian province of Ontario’s Waterloo Region, in the city of Cambridge, is the community of Hespeler. Midway through the 19th century, a little community that had grown up around a sawmill and a gristmill was abandoned. Today, it is renowned for its storied downtown, parks, and green areas, as well as its thriving neighbourhood.
